Tra il 2000 e 2021 livello di istruzione è aumentato a un ritmo più lento rispetto alla media dei Paesi dell'OCSE. La percentuale persone età compresa tra i 25 34 anni in possesso una qualifica terziaria aumentata 18 punti percentuali (dal 10 % nel al 21 2011 28% 2021). L'Italia rimane uno 12 dell'OCSE cui ancora meno diffuso quello secondario superiore o post-secondario non terziario termini alto titolo studio conseguito dalle anni.
